Bossard began her profession as a seafood commercial worker in the year 1999. She started working on the F/V Sunset a 65' halibut-schooner that was turned into a tender for salmon for Murat Aritan, who had been working in commercial fishing since 1993. Bossard is married to Aritan. The couple has united and claim their respective industries. They are both proponents of conserving renewable and sustainable sources of seafood. Otolith has opened its market direct wholesale distributor in Philadelphia in the year Bossard returned from living back in her home town with two daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre 1, and Andre 1, to Philadelphia.
